Sengokuhara Dam

The RcS unit-type was adopted to erosion control dam which located downstream of Hakone Owakudani river in order to improve seismic reinforcement function. The area was visited by many tourists therefore not just function but good exterior design was also required.

Concrete products could not be used due to the strong acidic environment but RcS method is using natural stones so it was perfect for the condition. Also seismic reinforcement was achieved through which special coating anchors.
