ABS (Anchor Bio-stone)

Our ABS method has various functional benefits to prevent river shore erosion/corrosion, and floods. However its exterior looks traditional “Dry rubble masonry” style, stones are piled up by ABS methods so it is structurally strong. The keys to sustain high durability and disaster resistance are back-nets and anchor fasteners which connecting each stones. Stones can be collected at local construction site, or we can supply stones depending on your needs. We have variety of options like round river rock to hand-crafted splitface rock. Another key characteristic of ABS method is gap and depth between stones. These are important function to keep living space for riverside creatures. ABS method will enrich riverside environment as well as protecting human living from natural disasters.

Compared to traditional masonry method, we can pile stones up to three tiers before casting with concrete. Therefore, we can maximize workability and achieve minimizing construction period. By the integration of Remaining-formwork (=Pierce) and Remaining-exterior materials (=stones), stone exterior and wall can be constructed in parallel to minimize construction period. It has long been used as a structure that requires durability, such as a shallow bridge in the sea, or in a poor environment that is immersed in seawater. This natural wood has excellent corrosion resistance, insect resistance, and weather resistance without wood preservative treatment, and is shipped with a moisture content of 20% or less. Particularly, our Green Heart wood has highest durability that even after years passed there would not appear thorns or hangnails, so it is perfect for parks or riverside deck where people come. We deliver high quality that lasts for 15 years (*performance from domestic results), which believed impossible with wooden products. In addition, we are following systematic logging management plan when procure materials.

This is a natural stone connecting method that integrates by drilling special anchors into stones and connecting them with SUS wire. It was difficult keep natural river landscape without destroying original scenery, but SKA-stone method contributes to reinforce flood control function of river itself without breaking natural landscape. By connecting stones of various diameters, we help to create a diverse habitation in which small animals, insects, fish, and vegetation grow in the spaces intentionally created between the joints of the stones. In addition, all the stones are connected, it becomes a colony structure and becomes a strong structure.
